Several years ago I was at The Galleria in Dallas, Texas. Browsing on the 3rd floor, I happened across Tiffany & Co. Tentatively I walked into the store, a farmer’s daughter from the mid-west, feeling like the “bull in a china shop”. (Was I allowed in here?) The display cases were crystal clear. Soon I was drawn to the semi precious stones. And there it was. The perfect ring. It was a breath-taking set of sapphire and emerald marquises set in a simple, elegant gold filigree. The combination of colors was stunning, an exquisite match and perfectly set. Before that day, if you would have asked me my favorite color I might have replied “sky blue or maybe yellow”. But that all changed, when I saw that ring. From then on, it has always been “blue and green together”.

I love that you have two favorite colors together! I am terrible at picking a favorite. 🙂 Too many good ones! Kind of like picking a favorite Bible verse. That one is also too hard. Thanks so much for stopping by my place. Blessings to you!

Hi, Karen! It’s nice to meet you here; I’m visiting from The Loft. I love your story & description of Tiffany’s. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is one of my favorite movies {even though it does not really represent the story by Truman Capote accurately}. Audrey Hepburn was lovely to watch as she floated through each scene. Looking forward to getting to know you in The Loft.

Hi Karen! I’m visiting from The Loft Link Up. Blue and Green are my favorite colors too!! I switch between the two, though, depending on my mood 🙂 I’m so glad to meet you here and pray the Lord takes your story, your words, and weaves them into beauty. May your writing corner be a place of grace!

Wow! I’m so intrigued by the “blue and green together” – I love that! My favorite color is green, but I have seasonal favorites as well. There’s something about just the right color combination at just the right time, isn’t there? I often wonder if that’s what others “see” when Jesus crosses our paths with a non-believer…just the right “color” at just the right time. This is a great post! Can’t wait to come back and read more! Thanks for linking up at The Loft!
